How the values are calculated

No black box. This page is the entire formula — if you disagree with a number, you can point at the exact anchor or multiplier that produced it.

1 · The market data

Values start from average draft position (ADP) published by Fantasy Football Calculator— currently 3,673 PPR drafts and 1,565 2QB drafts run between 2026-07-22 and 2026-07-29.

Those are mock drafts, and you should know that before you trust a number on this site. Nobody's season is riding on a mock. People reach on rookies, chase the guy they just read about, and quit in the eighth round. A real draft has none of that slack in it.

We use them anyway, and the reason is narrow: it is the only public ADP with a sample this size that refreshes every day and costs nothing. A few thousand low-stakes picks still beat one ranker's list, because the mistakes in a crowd point in different directions and the mistakes in a list all point the same way. What you give up is the discipline of consequence. That shows up worst at the top of the board, where a mock drafter loses nothing by reaching for the name he likes. If you think a value here is a round too high on a rookie, you are probably right, and this is why.

Player ages and rosters come from the Sleeper player database.

2 · The value curve

ADP maps to a 0–10,000 scale through fixed anchor points, interpolated linearly between them. The curve is steep early (the gap between pick 1 and pick 12 is enormous) and flattens late:

ADP 110,000
ADP 68,600
ADP 127,400
ADP 245,900
ADP 364,800
ADP 603,300
ADP 902,100
ADP 1201,300
ADP 150800
ADP 180500
ADP 220280

3 · Superflex

Superflex multiplies every quarterback by 1.9 and changes nothing else. Superflex is a demand change rather than a re-ranking — the same players compete for the same non-QB slots, and only QB demand moves. The league goes from 12 starting quarterbacks to roughly 22–24, so QB demand close to doubles. A shade under 2× because the QB20 who is unstartable in 1QB is a real starter in superflex, which takes some pressure off the top.

That replaced a worse method, and it is worth saying what it was. Superflex used to be valued straight off the separate 2QB draft board. That sounds more market-driven, but a 2QB board is not an exchange rate: every team has to fill two QB slots, so quarterbacks collapse to the front of the draft and everyone else gets pushed 20–35 picks back. On the boards behind this page, Josh Allen moves from ADP 27.9 to 1.5 while Brock Bowers moves from 35.7 to 68.1. Running both through a curve built for a 1QB board turned a positional run into a valuation — it put 13 quarterbacks in our top 20 and priced an elite young tight end about 60% below where the market actually trades him.

4 · Dynasty age curves

Dynasty values multiply the redraft value by a position-specific age factor, interpolated between these points. RBs fall off the fastest; QBs hold value the longest. This is the part most worth arguing about — and it's all here:

AgeQBRBWRTE
211.121.181.141.05
23–241.151.151.121.10
261.120.921.051.07
281.070.720.941.00
301.000.550.800.87
330.850.380.580.61
360.680.450.44

5 · Rookie picks

2026 picks are valued individually (1.01 = 7,600 — it trades like a top-12 dynasty asset). 2027 picks are valued by round tier with a 15% per-year discount, because a pick you wait a year for is worth less than the same pick now.

6 · What v1 does not do

No consolidation premium (a 2-for-1 shows raw totals — apply your own tax for roster spots), no contender/rebuild slider, no injury adjustments beyond what the draft market already prices in. Those are on the list; we'd rather ship honest simple math than hidden clever math.

Two places we know these values are still wrong, since you would find them anyway. Ascending young quarterbacks read low — Caleb Williams goes at redraft ADP 107 because redraft only cares about this season, and no age curve recovers a dynasty asset from that. Elite young tight ends read low for the same reason. Both are the same root cause: redraft draft capital cannot express what a player is worth over the next decade, only over the next four months. Fixing it needs dynasty draft data as a source, not a cleverer multiplier on redraft data — that is the next change here, not a tuning pass.

Values last rebuilt 2026-07-29. Rebuilt weekly during draft season and the NFL season.
